I have a 2008 B6 Passat Estate with the 140 Tdi CR engine. One day after starting the car, the MFD immediately flashed up Parking Brake Fault. The parking brake still worked ok off the button, but the autohold fubction was disabled.
If there is an ABS malfunction, the ABS warning light comes on in combination with the brake warning light: Brake pad wear indicator: Check brake pads: Options: Parking brake is applied (light on) ABS malfunction (ABS light is also on) Low brake fluid (no warning) See owner’s manual “Stop! Brake fluid. Stop vehicle.” (Audible warning)
Open Rear Parking Brake. Prerequisites: Connect a battery charger as per repair manual. Ignition on, engine off. Cycle the Parking Brake ON, then OFF first. I have a 2008 B6 Passat Estate with the 140 Tdi CR engine. One day after starting the car, the MFD immediately flashed up Parking Brake Fault. The parking brake still worked ok off the button, but the autohold fubction was disabled.

09/09/2015 · Firstly, appologies for my first post being a cry for help. I am a member of a number of VW forums, but only came across this site after Googling for local VCDS help. I have a 2008 B6 Passat Estate with the 140 Tdi CR engine. One day after starting the car, the MFD immediately flashed up Parking Brake Fault. The parking brake still worked ok off the button, but the autohold fubction was disabled.

The correction involves addressing any stored anti-lock brake system (ABS) fault codes, replacing the rear brake pads if required, and following the basic settings procedure as per the scan tool. Our technicians tell us these procedures must be performed in the correct order for the parking brake to function correctly.

14/12/2013 · Brake fault message VW B5 Passat TDIs. When it happened to me it was low brake fluid. The owner’s manual says there’s a different light on the panel that’s supposed to go off to indicate low brake fluid, but I got the flashing “STOP or you will die” blinking message and chime.

I have a 2008 B6 Passat Estate with the 140 Tdi CR engine. One day after starting the car, the MFD immediately flashed up Parking Brake Fault. The parking brake still worked ok off the button, but the autohold fubction was disabled.
